Hot Fudge Sauce for Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks  butter
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups sugar

Directions

  1. Melt butter
  2. Add cocoa and stir till dissolved
  3. Add evaporated milk
  4. Add sugar
  5. Bring to boil over medium high heat and boil for 4 minutes, stirring fairly constantly

    This is awesome. I love how it hardens into a chewy treat when it touches the cold ice cream.

    I’ve adjusted my recipe a little to make it a little smoother and less “grainy” by adding some corn syrup at the end, can’t remember how much I added, maybe about 1/2 cup.
